A dedicated three-person accounting team for your Adelaide business: senior accountant, junior and bookkeeper on one file, reviewed by a Chartered Accountant on Hindmarsh Square, on a fee you agreed in writing before the year began.

How the engagement runs

Everything sits on Xero. Your pod keeps the bookkeeping current, lodges the BAS, runs payroll and super deadlines, and closes the year into financials and returns without the January scramble. Jonathan Perre CA reviews the file in Adelaide and is the partner you call when a decision needs a second opinion.

The first conversation is free. Compliance packages then typically run $1,500 to $4,000 a year for a single trading entity, scoped and fixed in writing through Ignition. Multi-entity groups with trusts and bucket companies are quoted on structure. If a quote needs a timesheet to explain itself, we have scoped it wrong.

The SA-specific work most owners meet late

Payroll tax creep. SA's threshold is $1.5 million of Australia-wide wages, shared across grouped entities, with a variable rate to 4.95%. Two related entities each paying $800,000 in wages are over the line together. Check where you sit with the SA payroll tax calculator.

ReturnToWorkSA. Premiums ride on your remuneration declaration and industry classification. We sanity-check both at year end because misclassification quietly compounds.

Owner drawings. Money out of the company that is not wages or dividends becomes a Division 7A problem at 8.77% this year. The Division 7A calculator shows the minimum repayment in thirty seconds.

Trust distributions. If a family trust sits over the business, the 30 June resolution and where the cash actually goes both matter. The section 100A risk checker covers the ATO's traffic light zones.

Who we suit

Trading businesses from roughly $500,000 to $20 million turnover: hospitality venues with FBT and award complexity, trades and construction with equipment finance, professional services, e-commerce, and online creators, where we run one of the larger dedicated practices in the country. Owners who want a monthly number they can act on, not a shoebox ritual, get the most out of the model. When the business outgrows compliance, the same team steps up into management reporting and virtual CFO work.

Switching is one signature

You sign the authority, we collect everything from the outgoing accountant, take over the ATO relationship and confirm lodgement status inside two weeks. Your involvement is roughly twenty minutes.

Tell us the entities, the turnover and what frustrates you about the current setup. We will come back with a scoped fee and the first three things we would fix.

FAQ

What does a small business accountant cost in Adelaide?

Our compliance packages typically run $1,500 to $4,000 a year for a single entity, fixed in writing before work starts. Bookkeeping volume and extra entities move the number, surprises do not.

Do you replace our bookkeeper?

Only if you want us to. A bookkeeper sits inside every pod, so most clients consolidate, but we also work alongside in-house bookkeepers and review their file quarterly. See our bookkeeping service for what that covers.

Can you help us move to Xero?

Yes. Conversions from MYOB, QuickBooks and spreadsheets are routine, including chart-of-accounts cleanup and bank feed setup, usually completed within a month.

Do we have to come into the city?

No. Most of the relationship runs on Xero, shared documents and video. Adelaide clients typically come to Hindmarsh Square for planning meetings once or twice a year.
