Chartered tax accountants on Hindmarsh Square working with Adelaide companies, family trusts and their owners. Around 30 people, one named accountant per client, and the Division 7A and trust distribution depth that keeps the ATO conversation short.

Tax work we handle for Adelaide clients

Company, trust, partnership and individual returns, activity statements, FBT, and the planning between them: Division 7A loan agreements and repayment schedules, trust distribution resolutions before 30 June, restructures, and ATO reviews and payment arrangements. Since general interest charge stopped being deductible from 1 July 2025, we also spend more time getting clients off ATO debt than parking them on it.

The work runs on a pod model. Each client has a senior accountant, a junior and a bookkeeper working as one team, reviewed in Adelaide by Jonathan Perre CA, salaried partner and the named lead for tax engagements. You deal with people who already know your file, not whoever picks up.

Where Adelaide clients get caught

Director loans. Money drawn from the company without wages or dividends behind it. The 2026-27 benchmark rate is 8.77%, so minimum repayments have risen again. Run yours through our Division 7A calculator before lodgement day.

Trust distributions on paper only. Distributions to adult children who never see the money sit in the ATO's red zone, with no amendment time limit. Our section 100A risk checker shows the zone in a minute, and the June 2026 Bendel decision makes this year the right time to review corporate beneficiary arrangements.

Two entities, one payroll. Related SA entities share a single $1.5 million payroll tax threshold once grouped. The SA payroll tax calculator covers the variable rate and the $600,000 deduction most self-preparers misapply.

What it costs

The first conversation is free. Engagements are then scoped and priced in writing before work starts, through Ignition, so there are no surprise timesheets. As a guide, individual returns typically run $300 to $800 and small business compliance packages $1,500 to $4,000 depending on entities and transaction volume. Complex groups are quoted after we see the structure.

What a new client handover looks like

You sign one authority, we deal with your previous accountant, pull the ATO portal and lodgement history, and come back with a one-page position: what is lodged, what is outstanding, what we would fix first. Most handovers complete inside two weeks.

Visiting us

Level 2, 70 Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide, on the eastern edge of the CBD. Phone 08 8166 6705, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Paid parking is on the square and in the Rundle Street UPark, and the Pirie Street tram stop is a short walk. Phone and video meetings work just as well; a large share of our client base is interstate.

FAQ

Do you take on individual tax returns or only businesses?

Both. Most individuals we act for are business owners, property investors or have trust and SMSF interests, and returns typically run $300 to $800.

Who actually does the work?

A dedicated pod of three, reviewed in Adelaide. Jonathan Perre CA leads tax engagements and signs off on review points before anything is lodged.

Can you deal with the ATO for us?

Yes. We are registered tax agents (17532009), so we handle ATO correspondence, reviews, remission requests and payment plans on your behalf.

We are not in the CBD. Does that matter?

No. Xero, Lightspeed Docs and video meetings mean the location of your business changes nothing about the service. Adelaide clients tend to come in once or twice a year and run the rest remotely.
